Server Configuration

Server administrators can tailor how Kana works in their server. The settings on this page require the Manage Server permission.

Prefix

Each server has its own command prefix (the default is k). Change it with [p]prefix <new prefix>. See Setting Up for details.

Command Restrictions

You can control which channels Kana commands are allowed in using the [p]permission [perm, p] command. Restrictions are set per channel, run in the channel you want to configure.

Usage
  • Command: [p]permission [add|remove|list] [command|alias]
  • Alias: [perm, p]
  • Actions:
    • add <command> - Block a command in this channel. Use add all to block every command here.
    • remove <command> - Unblock a command in this channel.
    • list - Show which commands are blocked in this channel. This is the default if no action is given.

Combining all with specific commands lets you build either an allowlist (block everything, then allow a few) or a blocklist (block only certain commands), so you can, for example, keep drops out of your general chat while allowing them in a dedicated bot channel.

Activity Drop Channel

Set the current channel as the server's activity drop channel with [p]setactivitychannel [sac]. Activity drops appear automatically here based on server activity. Run the command again in the same channel to unset it.

Usage
  • Command: [p]setactivitychannel
  • Alias: [sac]
  • Parameters: None (uses the channel it is run in)

Community Event Channel

Set the current channel as the community event channel with [p]setcommunityeventchannel [scec]. Community event announcements are posted here. Run the command again in the same channel to unset it.

Usage
  • Command: [p]setcommunityeventchannel
  • Alias: [scec]
  • Parameters: None (uses the channel it is run in)

Wishlist Channel

Set a channel where Kana pings users when a character on their wishlist is about to drop, using [p]wishlistset [ws]. See the Wishlist page for details.

Series Filtering

Servers will be able to filter out series marked as "questionable" so their art and names appear as blank cards. This feature is still in development. See the Submission Guidelines for more.
