Setting Up
The bot is currently in beta testing and operates exclusively within our official Discord server. We invite you to join our community here: https://discord.gg/kanagg
Getting started takes three quick steps: register, verify, and (optionally) set your prefix.
1. Register
Before you can use most of Kana's features, you need an account. Create one with the [p]register command.
- Command:
[p]register - Parameters: None
- Description: Creates your Kana account so you can start collecting.
Once registered, you still need to verify your account before the bot will let you play.
2. Verify
After registering, head to https://kana.gg/verify and log in with Discord to verify your account. Verification is a one-time step that protects the game against automated accounts.
Until you verify, the bot will remind you to visit the verification page and most commands will stay locked. If you try to register again before verifying, Kana will point you back to https://kana.gg/verify.
Throughout this documentation you will see references to registered, unrestricted users. This means an account that has completed registration, has verified, and has no active restrictions. Some commands also require that the target user has no privacy settings hiding the requested information.
3. Command Prefix
All bot commands use a customizable prefix, denoted as [p] throughout this documentation. By default, the prefix is set to k, so a command like [p]drop is used as kdrop.
Each server has its own prefix. You can view or change it with the [p]prefix command.
- Command:
[p]prefix [new prefix] - Description: Shows the current prefix, or changes it when a new prefix is provided.
- Parameters:
- (Optional)
[new prefix]- The new prefix for this server. If omitted, Kana shows the current prefix.
- (Optional)
The prefix is set per server, so changing it affects everyone using Kana in that server. Slash commands (for example /drop) work everywhere regardless of the configured prefix.
All command examples in this documentation use the [p] notation to represent your configured prefix. If you are unsure what your server's prefix is, run [p]prefix on its own.
